Selah tea contains cinnamon, ginger (a known stomach settler), clove, turmeric, hops (a natural calming effect) and just a touch of organic cane sugar. It tastes and smells like a snickerdoodle in a cup.
To make, just stir a rounded 1/2 teaspoon into a cup of hot water. Add honey or cream to taste, if you like. Allow to steep for several minutes. You can allow the sediment to settle to the bottom of your cup and just enjoy the peaceful aroma and flavor of your tea, or you can occasionally stir your tea as you drink and actually consume the spices and seasonings. I enjoy it both ways!
In studies, ginger has been shown to sooth an unsettled stomach. Hops is known to be slightly sedative and also stomach-soothing and has been shown to help with insomnia. These ingredients have not been evidenced to help or harm while pregnant. Since no research has been done on the effects of these ingredients while pregnant, please check with your doctor before drinking. Each 6 oz jar makes around 25 cups of Selah tea.
