Ultrasound - Benefits and Risks

$0.00

Ultrasounds are a wonderful diagnostic tool that have made pregnancy, labor, and delivery much safer with minimal risks.

Right???

Or isn’t that right?

What if you found out that when we are told that evidence points to the complete safety of ultrasounds, what that really means is that ultrasounds are “innocent until proven guilty.”

What if you found out that no human studies and very few animal studies have been done on ultrasound risks since the last century?

What if you found out that since the last century, the energy output of ultrasound machines has increased 8 fold since those old studies were done?

What if you found out that ultrasound techs are not required to be certified in most states?

What if you found out that the FDA strongly recommends against ultrasounds for anything except to screen for suspected risks?

What if you found out that animal studies have indicated alarming information?

What if you found out that studies HAVE been done. In China. Where doing studies on aborted fetuses is considered ok. And those studies contain some very alarming information?

What if you found out that some of this alarming information correlates with the rise in all kinds of mysterious new conditions (including autism)?

Would you be curious? Would you be concerned? Does correlation = causation? Of course not, but don’t you think it’s worth researching the answers?

Until we have research that points to the safety of multiple, prolonged, high-powered ultrasounds in pregnancy, should we be cautious?
